Krause is seeking re-election to Lehighton Area school board

David Krause is seeking re-election to his current seat on the Lehighton School District board of directors.

"I genuinely approach this duty with no hidden or personal agenda and will strictly act as a 'public servant' to the community and educational stakeholders. I have always remained open-minded and respectful of all board members in the past, even when opinions have differed from mine. The priority is to build a consensus in order to move the district forward by determining what is best for our community."Krause has served on the board for over nine years (six years as president) since 2005. He pledges to continue to apply his knowledge and experience to further improve the governance of the board. Krause believes that due diligence is critical for making wise financial decisions for our schools to create a safe and effective educational environment for our students, teachers, administrators and community.Krause's education includes a B.S. in wildlife biology from Michigan State University. He has been employed by the Asplundh Tree Expert Co. for 39 years and serves as their technical services manager. Krause's three stepchildren all graduated from Lehighton. His wife was a teacher with the district for 16 years.
