Summit Hill police have arrested Lawrence Gulla, 51, of East Hazard Street on March 18 and charged him with simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment.

According to police, on March 15, police were called to Gulla's residence after Gulla allegedly assaulted a woman at the home.Gulla had left the scene before police got there.Following his arrest, he was arraigned before District Judge Joseph Homanko and committed to Carbon County Correctional Facility until he was able to post the $5,000 bail.A preliminary hearing is scheduled before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek of Lansford at 3 p.m. on March 29.
