Work has begun to rehabilitate the historic Lehigh Coal and Navigation Building located on the corner of Broadway and Susquehanna street in downtown Jim Thorpe. Building Manager Debra Stenger-Keiper said, "We're replacing everything on the building to bring it back to its original standards." The building, which houses apartments for senior and disabled residents, was purchased by United Neighborhood Development Corporation and is being managed by NDC Real Estate Management. Stenger-Keiper said they've come together to redo the whole building to make it a better place for their residents. VICTOR IZZO/SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS
