Man violates Megan's Law, faces prison

A Carbon County man admitted in the county court to violating the terms of Megan’s Law as a sexual offender.

Truman Bradford Brown, 50, of Lehighton, pleaded guilty before Judge Joseph J. Matika to one count of failing to register as a sexual offender with the state police. Brown is a convicted sexual offender.State police at Lehighton charged him after it was learned he violated the provisions of the law by not reporting his residence during the standard reporting period.Matika told Brown, under state sentencing guidelines, he faces a minimum state prison term between 21 and 27 months up to a maximum of 10 years.Sentencing was deferred as Matika ordered a presentence investigation report to be prepared by the adult probation office.
