Several people escaped serious injury early Sunday morning in a crash along Route 209 in Mahoning township.

The crash at 6:20 a.m. between Lehighton and Jim Thorpe.

One of the vehicles rolled coming to rest on its side against an embankment.

Responding were the Mahoning Valley and Lehighton fire companies. Lehighton fire police maintained traffic control at the scene shutting down the roadway.
