A hiker was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon when he fell off the trail leading to the Glen Onoko Falls. The incident was reported about 3:30 p.m. Firefighters from four communities took around two hours to reach the victim and remove him to safety. He was treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics before being transported to a trauma center. Rescuers were hampered in their efforts with the trail being covered with ice, snow and fallen trees.
