Lansford and Weatherly are both implementing snow emergency procedures ahead of tonight's storm.

Weatherly Borough is under a snow ban. Residents should move their cars as stated in the snow ban ordinance.

In Lansford, parking restrictions will be in place between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 7 p.m. Thursday.

Water Street, Kline Avenue and Snyder Avenue will be no parking on both sides.

Mayor James Romankow said that it will allow crews to plow those narrow streets first to make way for emergency vehicles.

The south side of Patterson Street is also no parking.

Patterson Street is the designated snow emergency route. Vehicles are required to have snow tires or chains.

Violators will be ticketed and towed.

Romankow encouraged residents to check on elderly neighbors during the storm.
