A homeless man was charged with criminal trespass and possession of drug paraphernalia following a recent incident in Mahoning Township.

Mahoning police responded to Westside Road at 11:45 a.m. on Jan. 30 for a trespassing complaint and seized a hypodermic syringe during the investigation.Justin Mooney, 28, was charged with the offenses and committed to the Carbon County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 3.
