Dylan Scott Smith of Effort was arrested by state police at Lehighton after a traffic stop they made at 7:09 p.m. Jan. 29 on Beltzville Drive, near Quail Rise Road, in Polk Township.

Police said they initially stopped a 2001 Chevrolet 1500, after which time it was discovered that Smith, a passenger in the vehicle, was providing false identification to officers.Police said he was arrested on a felony warrant and was in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, resulting in him being charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and for providing false information to authorities.
