Schuylkill County court - guilty pleas
Schuylkill County judges have placed four people on probation.
Kimberly A. Frey, 28, of New Ringgold, was charged on April 2, 2015, by Rush Township police with selling marijuana to a confidential informant.In a second case, she was charged on May 14, 2015, by county detectives with selling marijuana to a confidential informant in Rush Township.Frey pleaded guilty before Judge James P. Goodman to delivery of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility.Charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance were dropped.Goodman sentenced Frey to two years on probation.April L. McGeehan, 29, of Lehighton, was charged on April 1, 2016, by Rush Township police with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and retail theft.Schuylkill County President Judge William E. Baldwin sentenced her to 12 months on probation on the possession charge; 12 months on probation on the paraphernalia charge, to be served concurrently; 18 months on probation on the resisting charge, again to be served consecutively to a sentence of 18 months on probation for receiving stolen property and having a drug she was not authorized to have on Feb. 27, 2016. Those charges were filed by Rush Township police.Goodman also fined her $50 for the retail theft.In a second case, McGeehan was charged on Aug. 5, 2016, by Coaldale police with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia, and misbranding a controlled substance.In that case, Baldwin sentenced her to 12 months on probation for possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia, to be served concurrently with her sentence in the first case. The misbranding charge was dropped.Jessica L. Moyer, 31, of Tamaqua, was charged on May 14, 2016, by Tamaqua police with criminal mischief.Goodman sentenced her to 12 months on probation, and to pay $200 to Steph's Style Studio and $1,646 to Jay Hollenbach.Tyler B. Tyson, 25, of West Palm Beach, Florida, was charged on Aug. 11, 2015, by West Penn Township police with criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.Goodman sentenced Tyson to 12 months on probation.
