Actions speak louder than words

The village "school tax" does not tax individuals based on number of children, rather all are taxed. If you don't pay, you lose your home.

Taking from some to benefit others, is a legalized form of theft (Communism). The tax is purely pragmatic and unprincipled since it inherently denies the moral prohibition against violating the property rights of others. Remember folks, "private property rights" were a foundation to inception of a United States. Legal theft through the "school tax" implies that those supporting such, assume that some forms of thefts are legitimate (end justifies means). So then, for these people, moral principle is no longer fundamental to moral behavior and gets tossed to the side whenever it interferes with the personal preferences.Government-run (taxed) education, from its very inception, undermines moral character by discounting fundamental principles of moral behavior. Rejecting the Founding Fathers' mandate to respect the property of others, those working in the system (teachers), will naturally drift further and further away from morality as other compromises are made. It is in this atmosphere that students are expected to learn about morality. The void of morality in our "government" schools is evident, thus telling the students, moral behavior is irrelevant. So to the teachers, your actions probably speak louder than your words. Don't cause our little ones to stumble.Michael MeyersWalnutport
