A Summit Hill man was critically injured in a one-vehicle crash in Tamaqua on Jan. 7.
Police were notified of a red GMC truck off the roadway in the area near Sisters Cantina restaurant at 1:52 a.m. There was also a severed utility pole on the ground.Officers found John Bruno, 55, of Holland Street, inside the truck. Bleeding from several wounds, he was conscious but disoriented.Crews had to extricate Bruno from the truck and he was then airlifted to St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem. The helicopter landed in the parking lot of the former Jamesway shopping center.The truck was towed from the scene.
