The National Weather Service says the freezing rain advisory is now in effect until 7 p.mm this evening.

Spotty freezing rain is possible, mainly higher elevations near and above 1000 feet.

Spotty light freezing rain showers should develop sometime between 4:30 am and 8 am with a steadier rain or freezing rain arriving around 10 or 11 am. Temperatures are marginal for freezing rain, and most of the icing should be over the highest terrain.

Icing may create slippery conditions later this morning on untreated surfaces.

Temperatures will be near freezing in the higher elevations through most of the day and into early tonight.

If temperatures are still near 32 degrees at 3 pm, then this advisory may need to be extended into tonight.
