Danielle Pileggi, along with three other MMI Preparatory School students, has qualified to compete in the Pennsylvania School Press Association 2016-17 State Journalism Contest during a regional competition at Penn State University's Berks Campus.

The daughter of Daniel and Sandra Pileggi from Albrightsville, she will travel to Penn State's University Park campus on March 29 to vie for the state championship.Pileggi has qualified in the Literary Magazine Art category.In the Literary Magazine Art category, students were given a poem written by a professional poet.After reading the poem, the students had to create a drawing that was relevant to the poem and that would accompany the poem in the literary magazine.
