On approach to St. Luke's Hospital - Miners Campus for a patient transport, a PennStar helicopter contacted power lines at 2:20 a.m. Thursday.
A statement released by St. Luke's said that power was lost to some local residents.
The hospital did not lose power patient care was not impacted, a spokesman for St. Luke's said.
The power company restored power to all who were impacted by 9 a.m.
The helicopter landed safely and there were no injuries to the helicopter personnel and no patients were on-board the helicopter.
The patient was successfully transported via ground without delay and there was no disruption in patient care, St. Luke's said.
The helicopter is owned and operated by Metro Aviation.
