LCCC students receive scholarships

Two LCCC students enrolled in the School of Health Care Sciences received a $500 scholarship from the Occupational Therapy Assistant Scholarship Fund. Amanda Carnes of New Ringgold and Doreen Dia of Bethlehem are the scholarship recipients.

The scholarship is available to senior OTA seniors entering their final semester of the program, which encompasses clinical field work, who are enrolled in a minimum of two OTA program courses at LCCC and have maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher.They must also demonstrate a commitment to the OT profession and community through community service and active participation in the student OTA club or professional occupational therapy organizations.For more information on the college's programs of study, visit
