Duo faces hearing in connection with body found in car trunk

BETHLEHEM (AP) - Two Pennsylvania men are due in court in connection with the bludgeoning death of a man whose body was found in the trunk of a car.

James Heimbach, 30, is charged in the killing at his Bethlehem apartment in September of Joseph Goda, 28. Charles Yocum, 32, is charged with abuse of a corpse.Investigators say Heimbach bludgeoned Goda with a shotgun after the three used flakka, a synthetic drug similar to bath salts. Police say Yocum then helped Heimbach roll up the body in a carpet.Heimbach has told police that Goda attacked him and he got away, but his next memory was talking to Pocono Township police who found him hours later running through traffic in his underwear.Defense attorneys haven't commented ahead of Monday's preliminary hearing.
