One hundred less fortunate families in our area will have a Christmas thanks to the generosity of a local business.

Lehighton Ford teamed up with area churches to provide 100 families with a turkey and potatoes for their holiday meals.Representatives from 10 area churches were at the dealership last Friday afternoon to pick up the food. Each church received 10 turkeys and 10 five-pound bags of potatoes.Churches that helped distribute the food were: St. John's Church of Mahoning, SS. Peter and Paul Church, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Peoples Evangelical Congregational Church, Lighthouse Baptist Church, All Saints Episcopal Church, Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, Christ Evangelical Free Church and Grace Lutheran Church, all Lehighton, and St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Palmerton.
