Schuylkill County commissioners awarded the job of demolishing a building at 146 Fisher Ave., Coaldale, to a Frackville company for $11,630.
The contract went to AMC Enterprise, which submitted the next-to-the lowest bid for the work.The others were Northeast Industrial Services, Shamokin, $11,640; Nimaris Construction, Bath, $28,813; Bill Davis Cement Contractors, Mahanoy City, $19,750; Affordable Construction and Demolition, Coal Township, $15,899; Dudash Pipeline Co., Pottsville, $15,777; and ADM Logistics, Port Carbon, $14,199.Peter Radocha & Sons, Coaldale, submitted the low bid of $9,680, but failed to include the required 10 percent bid bond.In other matters, commissioners approved the renewal of a $105,195 software support agreement for the county 911 center with Infor Emergency Systems of Tampa, Florida.The agreement is to support the center's CAD system, which was installed in 2002.The cost is divided into two payments of $35,000 and one payment of $35,195.The agreement runs from Jan. 1, 2017, to Dec. 31, 2017.On behalf of the Tax Claim Office, commissioners approved repository sale bids. They were properties at 0 East Alley, Coaldale, for which Allen Russell bid $1,124; and 208 W. Phillips St., also in Coaldale, for which Legacy Glass LLC bid $1,029.Private sale bids that were approved included 24-26 W. Market St., New Ringgold, for which Angela Haas bid $300.
