The weather forecast for opening weekend at Blue Mountain will be a mixed bag. But skiers and boarders should have ideal conditions during the day Friday.
According to AccuWeather's John Gresiak, the weather Thursday night will continue to be very cold and windy, meaning only the most die-hard skiers will be out on the slopes. The day's high temperature isn't expected to exceed 15 degrees, and with wind gusts of up to 40 mph, it could feel like it's below zero.Friday, the wind will calm down, but the temperature still won't reach higher than 17 degrees."The good news is that the resorts that need to and want to will be able to make snow whenever they want from now until Friday night," Gresiak said.A storm is expected to strike the area overnight Friday, but details are not definite.Warmer temperatures during the day on Saturday will make conditions messy. The storm is expected to turn to sleet and freezing rain from midmorning through the afternoon. The early forecast for Sunday and Monday shows cool, dry conditions.Check
