The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a winter weather advisory for snow, sleet and freezing rain, which is in effect from 1 p.m. Sunday to 9 a.m. Monday.

General snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches...along with generally less than a tenth of an inch of ice are possble. Snow accumulations may slightly exceed 3 inches in parts of the southern Poconos, depending on when snow changes to freezing rain.

Periods of generally light snow develop sometime midday Sunday with below freezing temperatures and continues into the evening. Snowfall should intensify after midnight and then turn to sleet and freezing rain between 3 and 6 am Monday,
