Summit Hill police have charged a Coaldale woman for her part in an alleged abduction and robbery that occurred last month and are still looking for her two accomplices.
Police Chief Joseph Fittos Jr. said that Kerri Blasko, 49, of 143 E. Earley Ave., was picked up on an arrest warrant for the incident by Mahoning Township policefollowing a traffic stop on Sunday.She has been charged with criminal conspiracy for robbery, false imprisonment and simple assault.Blasko was arraigned Sunday before the on-call Magisterial District Judge Joseph D. Homanko of Weatherly, who set bail at $10,000. She was then sent to Carbon County Correctional Facility after she was unable to post bail.A preliminary hearing has been set for 3 p.m. Dec. 7 before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek.Fittos said that they have warrants out for her two accomplices, John Russup, 54, whose last known address was Owl Creek Road in Tamaqua; and Amber Neff, 31, whose last known address was Rockery Road, Spring Grove.Both Russup and Neff faces charges of two counts robbery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment and simple assault.The trio was wanted in connection with an alleged abduction that resulted in the stabbing and robbery of a Tamaqua woman on the evening of Nov. 18.According to police, the woman reported that she had been kidnapped, robbed and stabbed by two women and a man.During the incident, the woman had been picked up in Tamaqua and driven to East Mountaintop Road in the White Bear section of Summit Hill, where she was assaulted.The assailants then took her money and threw her out of the vehicle.Police found the victim on Bugzie’s Mountain, where she was treated by an ambulance crew and transported to St. Luke’s Miners campus in Coaldale.Anyone with information on Russup or Neff’s whereabouts are asked to call Summit Hill police at 570-645-7429 or call 911.
