No one was hurt in a crash that happened at 5:29 a.m. Nov. 16 on the King's Highway (Route 143) in Lynn Township, according to state police at Fogelsville.

Police said Todd L. Schaffer, 48, of Slatington, was driving a 1987 Peterbuilt tractor trailer westbound in the area of Lesser Road when it struck a deer that had entered its path. The rig veered off the right side of the road, struck an embankment, continued over both lanes of King's Highway and jackknifed on the left side of the road.The rig needed to be towed from the scene, police said.
