The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a wind advisory from 7 tonight until midnight on Sunday night.
Winds are expected at 15 to 30 mph with gusts of 40 to 50 mph.
There are two periods when the maximum wind gusts are most likely, this evening with and following the passage of a strong cold front and Sunday during the daylight hours.
The strong wind gusts may bring down tree limbs and utility lines. Scattered power outages are possible. The strong winds may make driving difficult...especially for those operating a large vehicle.
Snow showers tonight may result in a light snow accumulation, especially in the elevated terrain.
