A raging fire has destroyed a barn along Packerton Dam road in Mahoning township. The fire was first reported just before 1 p.m. by a neighbor. Fire companies from Mahoning and Franklin townships as well as Lehighton and Jim Thorpe are on scene. Due to the remote location of the fire water has to be tanked into the scene.
