Armed robber strikes Freeland store

State police are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery at a convenience store near Freeland, Luzerne County.

On Friday around 11 a.m., a man walked into the Freeland Fuel Stop, 903 Hazle Street, and demanded money from the cashier. He brandished a small caliber black firearm.

Police said the robber hid his identity with a Scream character mask.

He was described as a light-skinned male, approximately 5-foot-10 to 6-foot 1 in height.

He was last seen wearing a dark colored sweatshirt, and blue work pants, possibly Dickies.
