A Monroe County man was jailed earlier this week on multiple charges stemming from the theft of his former girlfriend's mother's car.

p.m.a woman reported she parked her mother's car at the Genko parking lot in Tobyhanna while she was working. She said her ex-boyfriend, Dennis George Carpentier Jr., 42, of East Stroudsburg took the car and her cellular phone. Carpentier was later located in the parking lot at 354 Memorial Blvd. in Tobyhanna.He was charged with theft and receiving stolen property, both felonies; receiving stolen property, a misdemeanor; anda summary offense.He was arraigned before District Judge Anthony D. Fluegel of Tobyhanna, and committed to the county prison in Snydersville after failing to post $10,000 percentage bail.
