The Shrine of St. Therese will honor all veterans during a special veterans retreat on Friday.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 5

p.m.at the shrine, located at 15 E. Garibaldi Ave., Nesquehoning.The free retreat will honor both living and deceased veterans.A welcome and opening prayer will take place at 11 a.m. before the placing of the names and intentions on the altar.A Mass specific to veterans will be held at noon, followed by lunch in Madonna Hall at 1 p.m.Participants will attend the veneration of the relic at 2:15 p.m., followed by a tour of the grotto and burning of intentions.A prayer for healing will be held at 4 p.m., followed by the closing of the day.Those who wish to attend the event can sign up at
