Firefighters from Jim Thorpe and Nesquehoning rescued a child who got stranded while hiking Saturday morning.
The 10-year-old boy fell approximately 30 feet down a steep embankment while hiking on Mount Pisgah, according to authorities.
Crews were called to the area around 10:30 a.m. They were able to reach and remove the boy in about an hour. The section of trail where the boy was stranded was located near Center Avenue in the Hacklebarney section of Jim Thorpe.
The child was treated at the scene by Lehighton Paramedics. No further details were available.
