The West End Food Pantry in Kunkletown is sponsoring its first "Stuff the Trailer" food drive this weekend. The event will take place at Country Harvest in Palmerton from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The pantry is asking shoppers to purchase additional nonperishable food items while doing their weekly shopping and then stop by the trailer in the parking lot and stuff it.Anyone donating five or more items will be entered into a drawing to win one of three gift cards to Country Harvest. The drawing will take place at 6 p.m. Sunday.Also on the agenda for the West End Food Pantry is the "Stomp Out Hunger 5K & 2.5K" walk and run event scheduled for Nov. 6.The event will take place at the Blue Ridge Estate Vineyard and Winery. The 5K run will begin at 11 a.m. and the 2.5K walk will begin at noon. A midpoint wine and water stop is planned.The day will include wine tasting, food and raffles and a tasting glass for participants over 21.Blue Ridge Estate is located at 239 Blue Ridge Road, Saylorsburg.
