DUI arrests

State police at Lehighton report:

• A 30-year-old man from Kutztown will be arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at 7:26 p.m. Sept. 14 in the area of White and Forge streets in Bowmanstown.Police said he was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer that was stopped for a Motor Vehicle Code violation and he had drugs and was driving while under the influence.• A 28-year-old Lehighton woman is facing charges after a traffic stop at 11:56 p.m. Sept. 10 in the area of White and Forge streets in Weissport.• A 30-year-old Pottstown woman is facing charges after a traffic stop at 11:46 p.m. Sept. 4 on Old Route 115 in Ross Township.State police at Lehighton determined she was under the influence and transported her to the Monroe County DUI Center, where she submitted to a blood test.Police did not reveal the names of the suspects. The charges will be filed pending lab results.Pocono Mountain Regional police report:• Police said at 12:05 a.m. on Aug. 12 they responded to a reported rollover crash along Church Street in Coolbaugh Township. The driver, Tamela Daniels, 65, of Moscow, Lackawanna County, was extricated from her vehicle and taken to the Pocono Medical Center. After a blood test, she was charged with DUI and careless driving.• On Sept. 6 at 3:30 a.m. along Route 940 at Route 611 in Mount Pocono, police observed a driver make an illegal right turn. The driver, identified as Lee Kirk, 66, of Scotrun, failed field sobriety tests. Charges were filed.• On Sept. 7 about 2:59 a.m. at Joe's Kwik Mart parking lot in Tobyhanna Township police observed an unconscious person near the exit of the gas station with her foot on the brake and the vehicle running. The driver, identified as Aimee M. Luzzi, 25, of Pocono Lake, failed field sobriety tests and submitted to a blood test. She was charged with DUI and careless driving charges.
