Panther Valley Intermediate School dismissed early Thursday due to a student experiencing an 'emotional episode.'

The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m., about ten minutes before students were set to be dismissed for the day.Police were contacted immediately.Superintendent Dennis Kergick said that instead of conducting a lockdown, the school decided to dismiss students early.Kergick said the situation posed no threat or danger to any students.
