State police at the Lehighton barracks have reported the results of a sobriety checkpoint troopers conducted on Old Route 115 in Ross Township from 9 p.m. Sept. 10 to 3 a.m. Sept. 11.

Seven motorists were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance; 28 motorists were released after passing standardized field sobriety tests; 22 citations were issued; and 13 warnings were issued.
