Flood advisory in effect until 7:15 a.m.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued an advisory for minor flooding in poor drainage areas for Monroe and Carbon counties until 7:15 a.m.

Motorists are reminded not to drive their cards into areas where water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually deeper than they appear.

The forecast:

Monday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before 1pm, then scattered showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 78. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Monday Night: Isolated showers before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 59. Calm wind.
