Two drivers were hurt in a head-on crash at 4:36 p.m. Sept. 3 at the intersection of Old Route 115 (Wilkes-Barre Highway) and Mountain Road in Ross Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said Karen P. Antonacci, 72, of Saylorsburg, and Jennifer A. Vedral, 42, of Bangor, were transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, by West End Ambulance. The severity of their injuries is unknown, police said.Police said the crash occurred when Antonacci, driving a 2015 Jeep Patriot, was northbound on Old Route 115 and struck the southbound 2002 Jeep Wrangler head-on at the intersection with Mountain Road.Police said both vehicles sustained disabling damages and were towed from the scene.Antonacci will be cited.
