Palmerton festival forecast: 100 percent good music, slight chance of showers

The Palmerton Community Festival continues through the weekend with great music, food, rides and crafts.

The music lineup today includes:

• The Pennsylvania Villagers from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., bandstand.

• Dance With Kim, 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m., main stage.

• Palmerton Community Band, 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m., bandstand.

• 1 Nite Stand from 3:30-5:30 p.m., main stage.

• Band of Brothers, 5:30-7:30 p.m., bandstand.

• The Mahoney Brothers, 8-10:30 p.m. main stage.

• Ride special, $20 from 1-5 p.m. for all of the rides.

SUNDAY:

• The American Dream Band with Jean from noon-1:30 p.m., bandstand.

• Midnight Special from 2-5 p.m., main stage.

• Twitty Fever from 6-9 p.m., main stage.

• Rides are $20 from noon-4 p.m.

The fair is rain or shine. And here's the forecast:

Today: A slight chance of showers before 8am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 92. Light and variable wind becoming southwest 6 to 11 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. South wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 81. Northwest wind 10 to 14 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 54. North wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light after midnight.
