A Carbon County man admitted on Thursday he attempted to submit a false urine screen to the adult probation office.

Rickey Elton Stevens Jr., 33, of Palmerton, pleaded before Judge Steven R. Serfass to one count of furnishing drug-free urine.Stevens appeared at the courthouse on Jan. 8 for a scheduled urine screen, which was previously was ordered by the adult probation office incident to an order of court. He tried to submit the urine of another person, according to Jim Thorpe police who made the arrest.Serfass placed him on probation for a year and ordered he pay court costs of about $1,000, a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation and render 50 hours of community service. The sentence is consecutive to a term he is currently serving in the county prison in another case.
