A Zoostock kickoff event will be held from 8-11 p.m. Thursday at the Sports Zoo/Halftime Sports Bar at 390 W. Snyder Ave. in Lansford.

The event will include frozen T-shirt contest, DJ Ann Marie Calabrese and more.The Zoo Crew's 18th Annual "Zoostock" is a free concert held on Labor Day.This year's event takes place from noon until 8 p.m. on the grounds of the Sports Zoo/Halftime Sports Bar.It is held rain or shine and you are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or a blanket to enjoy the holiday while helping the Carbon/Tamaqua Unit of the American Cancer Society.Last year's combined Zoo Crew events enabled the crew to present the ACS with $23,000 during the annual televised telethon.
