A female driver was able to get free and walk away after a rollover crash Monday morning near the bottom of the Hometown Hill.
According to those at the scene, the car, a burgundy-colored Buick Regal, was traveling southbound on Route 309 when it appeared to hit an embankment near the Tamaqua-Rush Township municipal border.
The car then flipped onto its roof and landed in the center lane, coming to a halt within Tamaqua borough limits.
The crash happened before 10 a.m. and traffic came to a standstill in both directions.
The driver was being examined at the scene by members of the Tamaqua Community Ambulance.
No other details were available.
