The engagement of Kelsey Bowman of Lehighton to Simon Tkach, also of Lehighton, has been announced by her parents, Mary and Guy Bowman of Lehighton.

The bride-to-be is a 2016 graduate of Lehigh Carbon Community College and is currently a medical assistant at ORL Associates.The prospective bridegroom is the son of Tim and Jane Tkach of Lehighton. He is a 2013 graduate of Wilkes University and is currently a social studies teacher at Lehighton Area High School.A July 8, 2017, wedding is being planned.
