Two area women served as missionaries in Scotland.
Mary Jane Sterling of Summit Hill and the Rev. Marie Terry of Coaldale recently returned from their two-week trip as short-term missionaries. This was Sterling's seventh mission to Scotland and Terry's second. Sterling is the coordinator of Scotland Christian Outreach Teams and has been a board member and missionary for many years.Once again, they were guests of Kathryn and David Henderson of Leven, Fife, Scotland. David Henderson acquired an accordion for Sterling to play for various programs, including singalongs at nursing homes and church services. The women spoke to groups about their faith in Jesus and their outreach programs in the United States. They also participated at prayer meetings and prayed with people about their health concerns and for Scotland. While in Scotland, the women had an opportunity to experience the voting of the European Union Referendum by going to the polls with the Hendersons when they cast their votes.
