The Tamaqua Community Art Center will host a meet and greet session this Thursday for artist Kara Scully.
Scully, who lives in Pine Beach, New Jersey, will be available from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. While she considers herself to be a multimedia artist, Scully prefers working with colored pencil and acrylic paint. One of her colored pencil drawings, a rendition of "retro-candy," is currently touring the country.While busy with her art, she continues to maintain honor roll status in her high school advanced classes.Following the opening night meet and greet, Scully's work will continue to be on display in the gallery until Aug. 25.The art center is located at 125 Pine St., Tamaqua.
