A Monroe County woman died Sunday of injuries she sustained in a one-vehicle crash early Saturday.

State police at Fern Ridge identified the victim as Evelyn Santiago, 51, of Effort.According to troopers, Santiago was driving a 2013 Kia Sorrento southbound on Evergreen Road in Chestnuthill Township at 12:30 a.m.While negotiating a right curve in the road the Kia went onto the right shoulder and struck a tree.Santiago was taken by West End ambulance to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. She was later flown to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. She was pronounced dead at 6:35 p.m.The Lehigh County coroner’s office said she died of multiple blunt force injuries.Troopers said the road was closed for about two hours while the crash was investigated.
