The Palmerton United Veterans Organization brought The Moving Wall of Vietnam to the borough park from Thursday through Monday.
Thousands of people came from the region to pay tribute to the 58,000-plus soldiers lost in the war.The wall was taken down Monday and transported to its next location. The Moving Wall stands as a reminder of the great sacrifices made during the Vietnam War.It was made to allow people the opportunity to visit the wall in their communities who otherwise may not be able to make a trip to Washington to see the original.
