St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 826 Mahoning Drive West, Lehighton, will hold the following events.• Ice cream festival, 3-8 p.m. Saturday. Food, entertainment and more.• Food pantry: August food pantry item will be macaroni and cheese and September will be tuna. Please help out the food pantry with these items.• Worship service:9 a.m. Sunday, outdoor service under the pavilion.• Special worship service: God's Hope - Facing Addiction - 7 p.m. Tuesday. Everyone who cares is asked to come. Even if addiction has not touched you directly, your prayers and presence can give strength to your neighbors and show we are ready to stand together with God to help and guide us. We will pray for families, for those fighting the problem and saving lives, and for the love and life of Jesus Christ to prevail, protect and restore us.• Worship and music committee meeting:7 p.m. Aug. 3.• Fall bazaar book sale and specialty rummage sale: Just a reminder that we are collecting for the fall bazaar book sale and specialty rummage sale.
