Route 209 in Polk Township was closed for two hours Saturday afternoon because of a downed utility pole with wires.

The incident occurred just after 4 p.m. between Polk township and HTY roads.

Polk township fire fighters closed down the roadway until utility workers were able to remove the wires and the pole. Fire officials said the pole just collapsed and was not due to a crash.
