Participants in next Sunday’s “Coaster Race” held a practice run Saturday in Lehighton.

The race will be part of Lehighton’s 150th Anniversary Celebration.Starting on North Second Street, the race goes downhill to the North Street finish line near the municipal building.The sign-in period for registered teams begins at noon, according to Rocky Ahner.A final practice will run from 12:30-1:30 p.m. with the race staring at 2 p.m.According to the celebration committee’s website, there will be three “derby” divisions and three “jalopy” divisions.The Coaster Race was originally run in the borough in 1923.
