A Danielsville man was killed Thursday when operating a press at an Allentown plant.

Robert Schoenerberger, 53, of 3879 Banyan Drive, Danielsville, was pronounced dead at St. Luke's Hospital-Bethlehem Campus at 8:45 a.m.The incident occurred at Allentown Steel Fabricating, 260 Race St, Catasauqua, when Schoenerberger was struck by an object while operating a press.The Lehigh County Coroner's Office attributed the cause of death to sharp force injuries to the abdomen. The death was ruled an accident.The Allentown office of OSHA is conducting the investigation.
