PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Storms that swept across eastern Pennsylvania on Wednesday morning cut power to thousands, halted commuter trains and toppled trees that caused some damage.

PECO reported more than 58,000 customers without power Wednesday afternoon after the storms, most of them in Delaware, Chester and Montgomery counties.The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority reported that service on its Trenton and Chestnut Hill West lines was halted due to downed wires in Philadelphia.Philadelphia International Airport reported that departures were being delayed by almost an hour due to the storms.In Lancaster County, toppled trees damaged two cars at a Paradise Township home and demolished a deck at a New Providence home.
