Showers possible this afternoon

Isolated showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop this afternoon over the region. The showers and storms will very slowly drift northeast. Occasional lightning and heavy downpours will be possible with the strongest storms.

As we approach sunset...storms should begin to dissipate.

Rain is the forecast for the rest of the weekend with the sun coming out when we return to work Tuesday.

onight: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm. Mostly clear, with a low around 64. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 3pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Sunday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 9pm. Low around 65. Light south wind. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
